World We Imagine Pitch

 STOP...ME TIME   Our mission is to create a space where people can work on healthy habits, bettering themselves, and their communication with others.   When you think of self care, what typically comes to mind? Is it going to therapy alone, journaling, or maybe just taking a bubble bath? While all of these things are great ways to practice self-care, they are all activities done alone. With Stop...Me Time , an environment is created where you can practice self-care, learn new habits, and also learn how to better socialize with others!  Nearly 10% of US adults suffer from depression, and even more people suffer from depressive episodes or anxiety due to stressful life events. However, with proper habits and self-care, we can change how we manage stress. Furthermore, learning healthy habits with others and learning to respect how others cope, will also help us be better people and will help the world be a better place. World We Imagine Part 1

 I think the first step people can take to make the world a better place is to be more empathetic and respect one another's opinions whether you agree with them or not. It seems like people do too much talking and not enough listening. Everybody thinks that what they think is right, and are not open to listening to others or changing their perspective. Our society today has become fueled by war, arguments, and disagreements instead of civilized talks and respect. In short, appreciating other people's stories, their perspectives, and their opinions will help the world be a better place. We can all come to compromise. Of course, respecting other people is easiest to implement at the most basic levels of society: to me, this is in daily conversations and actions. Fixing systemic problems in our world such as massive gaps in socioeconomic status, access to resources, etc. will be much more challenging.
